DevOps Engineer – TS/SCI with Polygraph Required

About the Team

At Core Interface, we believe great software is built by small teams of thoughtful engineers working on meaningful problems.
Our work supports mission-critical federal programs where development velocity, deployment reliability, and operational discipline have to move together.

We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer to serve as the connective tissue between our Linux infrastructure and application development teams — building the tools, pipelines, and processes that let engineers ship better software, faster.

What You’ll Do in This Role

  • Serve as the primary interface between the Linux infrastructure team and application development teams
  • Build and maintain tools to manage and automate deployment activities
  • Enforce role separation between development and administration work
  • Maintain standard servers and services for application development teams
  • Support and administer CI/CD and monitoring tools including Jenkins, SonarQube, and Nagios
  • Manage COTS tools that support development workflows (e.g. JIRA)

Required Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong Linux administration experience
  • Hands-on DevOps experience including building, deploying, and operating software
  • Broad understanding of DevOps tools and technologies
  • Experience with infrastructure automation and monitoring tools (e.g. Chef, Nagios, Ansible, Salt)
  • Experience with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins
  • Clear communication skills; comfortable working across development and infrastructure teams

Additional Strengths That Stand Out

  • Familiarity with continuous monitoring tools and practices
  • Development experience in Java, C, C++, or similar languages
  • Hands-on experience with Jenkins and/or SonarQube
